Paul A. “Jake” Linn, 76, of Waynesfield, passed away at 2:24 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019, at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.
He was born April 16, 1942, in Auglaize County to the late William Jacob and LaVera Webb Linn. On Oct. 25, 1963, he married the love of his life, the former Ruth Ann Williams and she survives in Waynesfield where they lived a long and happy life together for 55 years.
Survivors also include two daughters, Michelle (Russ) Hunlock and Dena (Brad) Valenti; two grandsons, Ryan and Nathan Hunlock; a granddaughter, Kiley Ann Valenti; a sister, Florene (Ray) Edgington; several brothers and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
He also was preceded in death by a beautiful baby granddaughter, Kendra Marie Valenti; a sister, Georgia McClellan; a brother Richard Linn; and a mother-in-law, Eloise Williams. Jake graduated from Waynesfield-Goshen High School. He retired after 30 years at Rockwell International, Kenton. He also built houses for many years. He then worked in security for 11 years at Honda. He enjoyed golfing for many years and watching the Cincinnati Reds.
Spending time with his family and friends was his greatest joy in life but, most of all, doing fun things with his grandchildren.
Anything from playing games with them in the yard, to watching them in all their school activities or playing board games and cards as adults around the dining room table.
Funeral services begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 25, at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta, where calling is from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24. Pastor Don Smith officiates and burial follows at Walnut Hill Cemetery, New Hampshire.
