Patricia S. Zook, 85, of West Liberty, passed away at 9:20 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, 2018, at Green Hills Care Center, West Liberty. She was born in San Antonio, Texas, on Nov. 4, 1932, to the late John M. and Lorraine M. Maley Stockton. On June 5, 1954, she married Col. David H. Zook, and he preceded her in death Oct. 4, 1967.
She is survived by her daughters, Lydia L. (Roger F. Kressly) Zook of Orlando, Fla., and Alice Zook Garrett of Edmond, Okla.; a son, David (Cheryl) Zook of Herndon, Va.; grandchildren, Jarod J. Zook and Brittany Layne Garrett; great-grandchildren, Madeline Rose Steiner and Cooper Zook.
Patricia was a retired teacher of 30 years at Graham Local Schools. She was the president of Delta Kappa Gamma. Patricia started the Red Hat Ladies Society locally, and was very involved with high school ministries at Bethel Mennonite Church. She loved traveling, shopping and gardening. Patricia was considered a “Diva” because of her lifestyle and fashion. She was funny and had a great sense of humor. Patricia was creative and won first prize at a Leading Age Art Show and moved on to win the state competition.
Pastors Cheryl Shank and Chuck Swartz officiate a funeral service at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29, at Bethel Mennonite Church, 416 Washington St., West Liberty. Visitation is from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, at Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 101 Zanesfield Road, West Liberty. Burial is in South Union Cemetery in West Liberty.
