Patricia “Patsy” Ann Lyons, of Bellefontaine, formerly of Rushsylvania, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, Dec. 22, 2019. Patsy was born in Bellefontaine on Aug. 2, 1928, the daughter of the late Chauncey E. Beck and Neva Maree Kaylor.
She graduated in 1947 from Rushsylvania and went on to marry Robert W. Lyons on Aug. 21, 1949 and have two children. He proceeds her in death, along with three brothers, Roger (Choice) Beck, Marion (Vera) Beck, and Larry (Infant) Beck; and two sisters, Carol (Bo) Wells, and Sybil (Richard) James.
She is survived by her two children, Deborah (Jack) Roberts, and Douglas (Becky) Lyons; grandchildren, Junell Bible, Bethany (Justin) Ransbottom, James Lyons and Jeremy (Emily) Lyons; great-grandchildren, Kaylor and Keaton Ransbottom, Charlie Bible, Jace and Ella Lyons, Alaina Harshberger and Gabriella Lyons; and many nieces and nephews.
Patsy was a member of the Rushyslvania United Methodist Church, UMW (United Methodist Women’s group), Rhoda Circle. She would always say she loved her family more than anything in the world but she also enjoyed going to church, reading, antiquing, watching OSU basketball, playing the piano (including teaching for 25 years), and getting to go out with “the girls,” her beloved lifelong friends.
