Patricia “Pat” A. Nichols Fansler Paul, 81, of Columbus, passed away March 26, 2018 in Gahanna, surrounded by her loving family.
Pat was born Aug. 11, 1936, in Urbana, to the late Arthur and Bertha Hart Nichols. She was married to Ross Fansler from 1953 to 1973, and to Roger Paul from 1981 until his death in 2000.
Pat worked at Callender and Needles CPA firm in Bellefontaine for many years before moving to Lake Placid, Fla., to retire. While living in Lake Placid, Pat owned a used bookstore and gift shop for many years. After Roger passed away, she moved back to Ohio to be near her family. She loved Florida, the beach, playing cards, traveling, cooking and sharing recipes, and always dreamed of going to Hawaii. She finally achieved that dream at the age of 81.
In her younger years, Pat also loved to bowl and was in several leagues.
She is survived by two daughters, Jana (Daniel) Burch and Tamara (Bruce) Shreve; three sons Ronald (Beverly) Fansler, Steven (Jeannie) Fansler and Daniel Fansler; grandchildren, Breann, Jared, Jessica, Andrea, Adam, Mark, Craig, Kylie, Courtney, Colin, Sutton and Logan; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Jayden, Alexander, Jazzlyn, Colton, Jaxon, Juliana, Cooper, Mason, Josie, Addison, Emerson and Gigi; sisters, Marlyn Thornburg and Carolyn Nichols, and many nieces and nephews.
Pat also was preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Chaffin; and her beloved pets, Smokey and Brandi. She loved her family and they adored her. She will be forever missed and remembered.
A memorial service begins at 11 a.m. Monday, June 25, at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home & Crematory, 5591 S. U.S.
Route 68, West Liberty, with visitation from 10 a.m. until time of service.
