Donald Hugh Wildermuth, 91, of rural DeGraff, passed away Thursday evening, June 14, 2018, at his home.
Donald was born Dec. 22, 1926, on his family farm in Bloomfield Township, a son of the late John J. and Nancy Dalrymple Wildermuth. He married Suzanne Whitney on Sept.. 26, 1964, in Speedway, Ind., and she survives. He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters-in-law, Warren and Nancy Wildermuth, Norman and Leona Wildermuth, Max Wildermuth and Shirley and Ron Reedy.
Donald is survived by three children, Dawn Ann (Jeff) Beelman of DeGraff and Shawn Jacob (Jana) Wildermuth and James Dean (Rhonda) Wildermuth, both of Lewistown; five grandchildren, Meghan Bergman, Jacob Wildermuth, Lauren Wildermuth, Clayton Wildermuth and Cole Wildermuth; a great-grandson, Lane Bergman, two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Wildermuth of Delaware, Ohio, and Dianne (Larry) Rowan of Lakeview; and several nieces and nephews.
Donald was a lifelong farmer. He was a 1944 graduate of Washington Local Schools and played basketball for Walter Alston.
Donald was a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church in Jackson Center. He was also a member of Logan County Antique Club, Logan Soil and Water Conservation District and the Ohio Cattleman’s Association. He was also a member and formerly served on the Logan County Farm Bureau Council and served two terms as a Bloomfield Township Trustee.
Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 20, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St., Lakeview, where visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, and an hour prior to the service.
Burial is in Glen Cemetery in Port Jefferson. Memorial contributions may be given in his name to United Way of Logan County at uwlogan.org.
