Dispatchers received reports of an intoxicat- ed driver in the area, with callers noting that the driver was unable to maintain a lane of travel, and nearly had caused an accident in the area of U.S. Route 33 and State Route 292.
Deputies located the vehicle and initiated the stop at U.S. 33 and the exit ramp to U.S. Route 68. They noted the vehicle had heavy damage on the passenger side, which were consistent with the vehicle striking a steel guardrail.

He also submitted to a urine test, as deputies were suspicious that he also was under the influence of another substance in addition to alcohol.
The defendant also was cited for a marked lanes violation and driving under a non-compliance suspension.
