Matthew Smith, an Ohio Hi-Point Career Center Multimedia Marketing student from Riverside High School, will advance to the Business Professionals of America’s National Leadership Conference after competing at the BPA Ohio Leadership Conference last week.
He placed first in Prepared Speech with his “SNAP Out of It” presentation, which focused on addressing distractions to increase productivity. Matthew will travel to the national conference in Dallas during May.
Fellow OHPCC student Kiarra Coats from Benjamin Logan High School also made the podium, placing third in Presentation Management.
Also at the state contest, Madison Aldo from Bellefontaine High School and Korwin Kurtz from Upper Scioto Valley High School placed in the top 10 in Digital Media Production and Graphic Design and Promotion competitions, respectively.
The OHPCC Multimedia Marketing program is taught by Justin Lacher.
