Two people were arrested Thursday after officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department served a search warrant at 224 Ward St.
Resident Sonja E. Taggart, 47, was charged with seven counts of possessing a dangerous drug and single counts of possession of a coun- terfeit controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Timothy E. Clark, 59, at large, was arrested on felony warrants of theft and misuse of a credit card and misdemeanor warrants for criminal trespass and theft.
Clark was inside the residence when officers announced the search at 3:35 p.m. However, he would not come to the door.
Officers entered and he was found inside, taken into custody and lodged in the Logan County Jail on the warrants.
They then searched the residence and found paraphernalia for smoking crack cocaine and marijuana, a plastic bag containing unknown white powder, another bag with drywall made to appear as if it were crack cocaine, a digital scales and seven different types of prescription med- ication, none of which was in a labeled bottle.
Taggart returned to the residence and acknowledged she is the legal resident. She
claimed she was in the process of getting rid of the prescription drugs.
She was lodged in jail.
• Stacey A. Kavanagh, 33, of Belle Center, was taken into custody today on a Hancock County warrant for felony theft of drugs.
