Deborah K. Oakley, 52, of Lakeview, was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead following a non-injury crash in Lakeview Friday afternoon.
Deputies report she was operating an eastbound sport utility vehicle on Maple Street in the village about 1 p.m. when she attempted to pass an eastbound car operated by Barry Horn, 69, of Lakeview, on the left side. Her SUV sideswiped Mr. Horn’s car, struck the driver’s side and caused light damage to both vehicles.
Both drivers were wearing their seat belts.
• Deputies also responded to a hit-skip crash in Rushsylvania shortly after 11 a.m. Saturday.
An unknown westbound vehicle reportedly drove off the left side of the road in the 100 block of Euclid Street and struck a retaining wall owned by Todd Hites, 134 Euclid St.
