The oaths of office were administered to deputies Tanner Hinkle, David Branham Jr. and Cole Piatt.
Both Deputy Hinkle and Deputy Branham recently graduated from the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy at Clark State Community College in Springfield.
Deputy Hinkle has been employed as a corrections officer with the sheriff’s office since May 2016, and he will continue to work in the Logan County Jail. Branham just started his career at the agency Oct. 2, also in the corrections division.
Deputy Piatt began employment with the LCSO Oct. 7 as a communications officer in the sheriff’s 911 center. He graduated from the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy at the Green County Career Center in Xenia in 2016, and previously was employed by the Mechanicsburg Police Department as a police patrolmen and patrol lieutenant.
Sheriff Dodds said he is pleased to be part of these young men’s careers and to have them serve as his deputies.
Related to the 15-year recognition, Sheriff Dodds presented service stars to Corrections Officer Tyrone Breaston, Cpl. Chris Joseph, Deputy Ryan Brown, Sgt. Adam Fullerton and Sgt. Missy Davis. (HOME PAGE SLIDE SHOW PHOTO)
“All five of these people are blocks in the foundation of the sheriff’s office, meaning the help hold the office up,” officials said in a release. “They are all looked up to by their peers and appreciated by their supervisors.”
