Progress on a new squad station serving the Indian Lake Joint Ambulance District is running about a month behind as inclement weather, and wait times on service contractors has delayed work on the building, according to discussion this week in a regular board meeting.
Project manager Gary Bias has told the EMS board that building contractors have been working to finalize other projects before starting on the ambulance district building.
That fact, along with incoming winter weather has already put the project about a month behind schedule, he said.
Still, temporary electrical service has been connected at the job site, and plumbers have begun their work. A job trailer is forthcoming, and crews are hopeful that lost time can be made up in the months ahead.
