Upgrades to the main lobby of the Russells Point Municipal Building were approved Monday in a regular meeting of the Russells Point Village Council.
Council approved a $26,650 project with Link Construction to renovate the building’s vestibule to make it more accessible and user friendly for residents to pay bills, seek zoning permits or handle other village business.
Upgrades include a handicap-accessible service window for residents with mobility challenges. Additional plans call for added security for village staff. Increased counter space will make it easier for residents to organize documents and fill out forms at the municipal building, council reasons.
