Rushsylvania Village Council encouraged town residents to dispose of recyclable materials at the local site to help the village receive bonuses like the $652.50 check presented at Monday night’s council meeting.
Logan County Commissioner John Bayliss and Angel Payne, coordinator of the Logan County Solid Waste Management District, awarded the check, which represents the return of $7.50 per ton for 87 tons of recycled material, Clrek Diana Rader reports.
Council reminded residents that recycling material at the Rushsylvania site rather than another site nets the village money from the tonnage that is collected in Rushsylvania.
