Molly C. Martin, 32, of Marysville, was charged Sunday with operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. She also was issued traffic citations for running a red light and a marked lanes violation.
An officer of the Bellefontaine Police Department was on patrol at 2:30 a.m. on Sandusky Avenue approaching Garfield Avenue when Martin was observed stopped on Garfield at a red light. She then drove on while the light was red and turned wide onto eastbound Sandusky, the officer reported. She ran another red light at Detroit Street and Sandusky.
A traffic stop was initiated at Main Street but Martin continued on driving past Madriver Marathon, 200 E. Sandusky Ave., before pulling over near Fountain Place and striking a curb.
Upon contact and while talking with Martin, the officer detected an odor of alcohol.
Field sobriety tests indicated she was impaired by alcohol and her breathalyzer sample was recorded at 0.159.
She was released to a sober driver.
