Michael D. Fitzpatrick, 67, of Bellefontaine, passed away peacefully Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016.
He was born in Bellefontaine on Sept. 23, 1949, to the late Ralph and Phyllis Stafford Fitzpatrick. A stepson, Jack Klingler, also preceded him in death.
On Dec. 18, 1981, he married the former Judy Brown and she survives. Also surviving are children, Crystal (Mark) McClain, Christina Bray and Zane Fitzpatrick; eight grandchildren, Brianne Smith, Madison Miller, Macy McClain, Meredith McClain, Jacob Fitzpatrick, Dillon McClain, Jaiden Bray and Carter Bray; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Ellen (Patrick Horgan) Fitzpatrick and Julia Anne (Timothy) Fitzpatrick–Cooper; and a brother, Jerry (Lynn) Fitzpatrick; and two nieces and two nephews.
Mike was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, NRA and Ducks Unlimited. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an Indianapolis Colts and Chicago Cubs fan. Mike also liked working out at the health spa and the YMCA.
Father Shawn Landenwitch officiates a memorial mass at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 328 E. Patterson Ave., Bellefontaine. A Celebration of Life is from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13 at the Fitzpatrick Family Farm, 2038 County Road 1, Bellefontaine.
