Maurice E. “Brownie” Brown, 89, of Marysville, died Sunday, March 25, 2018, at Memorial Hospital in Marysville.
A tool and die maker, he retired from Glacier Vandervell, formerly Detroit Aluminum and Brass in Bellefontaine where he worked his entire career.
A musician, he played trumpet in club bands nearly all his life. He was an avid shooter and was a member of the Logan County Fish and Game Club.
He was born Dec. 1, 1928, in Urbana to the late James and Martha Schmaal Brown. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Johanne Wilson Brown; and his son, Jeff Brown.
Survivors include his daughter, Sharon (John) Soloman of Marysville; his grandchildren, Adam (Stacy) Vanover, Aron Vanover, Sheila (Jason) Care and Scott (Maryann) Brown; his great-grandchildren, Lilandra, Annica, Leslie, Landon, Dalton and Savannah; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 29, at Underwood Funeral Home, 703 E. Fifth Street, Marysville, following calling that begins at 9:30 a.m. Burial follows in Middleburg Cemetery.
