The Mary Rutan Foundation Board continues its tradition of support to offer Logan County resident pursuing a degree in the medical field, with an opportunity to apply for medical career scholarships and loans for the 2021-22 academic year.
Since 1992, more than $2.3 million in medical scholarships and loans have been awarded to Logan County residents pursuing a degree in a medical field. This investment in the community and the future of health care continues today.
“There is currently a shortage of health care professionals in Ohio and in our community. Many times the cost of education is a barrier. Mary Rutan Foundation is committed to investing in the future of those pursuing careers in the medical field,” said Tammy Allison, Foundation COO.
Applications and detailed information may be obtained from the hospital’s website www.maryrutan.org/foundation.
Completed applications, including all required documents, must be submitted no later than April 1 to Mary Rutan Foundation at 205 E. Palmer Road, Bellefontaine, OH 43311.
These scholarships are made possible through the generous support of individual contributions, bequests and memorial donations to Mary Rutan Foundation’s general and named scholarship funds.
In addition to Mary Rutan Foundation’s annual Medical Scholarship and Loan Program, the Foundation offers scholarships for Logan County residents wishing to obtain their certification to become an EMT or paramedic.
