Mary Jo “Jodi” Overs, 77, of Roundhead, passed away Wednesday morning, April 7, 2021, at her home.
Jodi was born on Sept. 29, 1943 in Lima, a daughter of the late Frank and Vondale Sneary White. She married Roger Overs on June 4, 1960, at Indian Lake Community Church in Russells Point, and he preceded her in death on January 11, 2018. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly, and sister, Rose Overs.
She is survived by their three children, Kim (Brad) Pearson of Belle Center, Roger (Speed) Overs of Lima, and Cheryl (Kenny) Howard of Kenton, five grandchildren, Alicia (Brad) Stafford, Tiffany (Troy) Hughes, Tyler Overs, Ashley Overs and Justin Harsh, six great-grandchildren, Maci and Mya Stafford, Airianna and Chase Hughes, Klayton Overs, Slate Johansen and one on the way, one sister, Robin Goff of Kenton and several nieces and nephews.
Jodi retired from Lowe’s in Bellefontaine. She was a member of Roundhead VFW Auxiliary Post 8832 and CWA of Roundhead. She enjoyed spending winters in Florida and spending time with family, grandchildren, and friends.
Pastor Kenny Van Hoose will begin funeral services at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 13, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St., Lakeview. Visitation is Monday, April 12, from 5 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Roundhead Cemetery. Due to state Covid-19 pandemic guidelines, attendees are asked to be symptom free, maintain social distancing and wear a facial covering.
Memorial contributions may be given in her name to Roundhead Volunteer Fire Department.
