Marlene H. Gressner, 84, of Bellefontaine, formerly of Lakeview, OH passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at Green Hills Care Center, West Liberty, OH.
Marlene was born on August 23, 1936, in Lakeview, OH, a daughter of Robert and Helen Reed Norviel. She was preceded in death by a sister, Joan Conwell, and a brother, Tom Norviel.
On September 14, 1954, Marlene married Harold Gressner in Liberty, IN and he survives along with their children, Linda Lee Gressner, Jeffrey Jay (Julie) Gressner, Shelley Sue (Larry) Thompson, Kristina Kay (Larry) Jennings, and Angela Ann (David) Durnell, eight grandchildren, Monica Gressner, Charity Gressner, Dustin (Tiffany) Krouse, Devin Draper, Tyreasha Draper, Austin Durnell, Ethan Durnell and Kensey Durnell, four great grandchildren, Landon Krouse, Isaiah Krouse, Paiton Bonsel, and Kamryn Bonsel, and two brothers, Ralph Norviel and Wayne Norviel.
Marlene was a 1954 graduate of Stokes Local Schools and member of Bellefontaine Calvary Baptist Church. She was the Avon lady at Indian Lake, selling Avon for over 30 years. She enjoyed taking cruises and vacationing in Florida and Gatlinburg, TN. Marlene was a loving mother and grandmother who loved family gatherings. She will be greatly missed.
Pastor Jeff Willetts will begin funeral services at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St., Lakeview. Visitation is Monday, July 26th from 4-7 PM at the funeral home. Burial is in Walnut Hill Cemetery, New Hampshire, OH.
Memorials may be given in Marlene’s memory to Bellefontaine Calvary Baptist Church or Parkinson’s Foundation.
