Members of the Indian Lake High School Class of 2023 have been eager to share their 3E decisions all year. They recently gathered as a class to officially sign their 3E commitments to be either Employed, Enrolled or Enlisted after their graduation.
Students signed a certificate declaring whether they are headed to an institution of higher education, to the Armed Forces (none present) or starting work at an area business upon graduation.
Marker Inc. President Alison Marker spoke to the group, imploring them to have a Plan A and a Plan B.
“What you think you’re going to be doing 10 years from now is likely going to change quite a few times and that’s OK. Stay open to new experiences and opportunities.
“My path definitely didn’t go according to plan, but it has brought me to where I am today and I’m grateful for that.”
Logan County Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Ben Vollrath praised the group on their decisions and urged them to consider returning to Logan County in the future, no matter what path they’ve chosen.
“Your community wants you. No matter what you’re choosing today, your community is excited for you and we’re glad you’re making a commitment.”
Students posed for pictures in their respective Enrolled, Enlisted and/or Employed groups, then individually signed certificates from the Logan County Collaborative to mark the occasion and make their choice official.
