Marion Scott Blake, 101, of Urbana, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016, in the Springfield Masonic Community.
He was born in Van Wert on Sept. 19, 1915, to the late Earl and Della Hahn Blake. He was an auto mechanic all of his working days in Lima and South Bend, Ind.
He belonged to the Lima motorcycle club in the 1940s and 50s.
Survivors include daughters, Judy Flinn of Crossville, Tenn., and Jean Shafer of Urbana; son, Donald (Joann) Blake of Humble, Texas; a brother, Robert Blake of Lima; grandchildren, Mike and Jeff Flinn, Gary, Terry and Rusty Shafer, Don Blake Jr., Tammy Sheneman, Pamela Marvel, Brenda Sternthal, Teri Nelson, Renee Sanders, Karen Maryann and Chris and Michael Blake; 27 great-grandchildren; 43 great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-grandson.
He also was preceded in death by his wife, Lucile Reams Blake; sister, Marc Greenawalt; son, Doug Blake; grandsons, Rodney Blake and Rex Flinn; and great-granddaughter, Jenny Shafer Russell.
