Marilyn Faith McCoy, 86, of Bellefontaine passed away peacefully Tuesday Jan. 30, 2018, at her residence at Campbell House of Bellefontaine.
Marilyn was raised in Bellefontaine by the late Lafayette and Alice (Morrison) Cordrey, and spent her entire life in Bellefontaine.
Marilyn worked for DP&L for 30 years. She loved singing in the church choir at Calvary Baptist Church, and volunteering in the school library.
Marilyn married Herman L. McCoy in 1956, who preceded her in death in 1989. Marilyn is survived by a step daughter, Debbie (McCoy) Mateo, of North Carolina, three brothers, Myron Cordrey of Columbus, Ohio, Leroy Cordrey and Delbert Cordrey both of California, and many nieces and nephews in Ohio and California. Marilyn was preceded in death by sisters Virginia Tevis, Gloria Fry, Joy Perrin, Rita Cordrey, and a brother Charles Cordrey, and step-sons, Gary McCoy and Guy McCoy.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday February 4, at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home & Crematory at 5591 US Rt 68 S, West Liberty Ohio. Calling hours will begin at 1:00 PM. Many thanks to the Campbell House staff and Kindred Hospice for their attention and care for Marilyn.
