Bette Feltham, 94, of Bellefontaine, died last week at Mary Rutan Hospital. She spent her childhood in Wisconsin. In 1946, Bette married Charles Feltham, who preceded her in death.
During World War II, she enlisted in the United States Marine Corps Women’s Reserve, serving in the San Francisco area.
Raising her family in North Olmstead, Bette also continued her education, graduating from Case-Western Reserve University in the 1950s. She then taught English in the North Olmstead public schools until her retirement, at which time she and Charles moved to Clearwater, Fla.
In 2007, Bette returned north, settling in Bellefontaine, where she quickly grew to love the community in which she would spend the last 10 years of a long, good life. Bette is survived by her children, George (Karen) Feltham of Rushsylvania and Molly (Trigg) Adams; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
The family does not plan to have a formal funeral service; however, a memorial get-together and celebration of her life will be held in Logan County at a future date.
