Margie J. Dunlap, 90, of Bellefontaine passed away Thursday, July 1, 2021, at 9:55 a.m. in the Kobacker House, Columbus.
She was born in Van Wert County, on January 21, 1931, the daughter of the late Kimber and Edith (Mosier) Thatcher.
On June 12, 1955, she married Robert Eugene Dunlap and he preceded her in death on April 4, 2005. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Mildred, Coleen, and Carol Jean.
She is survived by a daughter, Molly (Andy) Bailey of Dublin and a son, John (Elizabeth) Dunlap of Hillsboro, four grandchildren: Thomas, Meredith (Alex), Maggie, and Hannah, four great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Margie worked as a homemaker and volunteered as a member of the Mary Rutan Hospital Guild for many years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Bellefontaine. She loved to read, do puzzles, and enjoyed her time walking at the Hilliker YMCA, where she would have coffee with her friends. She loved following basketball, especially March Madness and following Bellefontaine Chieftain athletics, where she volunteered for the boosters for many years.
Pastor Joe Ziraldo will officiate a graveside service at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, in the Bellefontaine Cemetery. Visitation will be noon to 2 p.m. prior to the graveside service at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main St., Bellefontaine.
