Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office and Indian Lake squad personnel were dispatched about 1:45 p.m. Tuesday to 11090 Powhattan Path, Chippewa, in reference to a 30-year-old man who possibly overdosed on heroin.
The caller said she found Shane Slagle lying on his back on not breathing. He was administered eight doses of Narcan by paramedics, and then began breathing again.
He was transported by squad to Mary Rutan Hospital.
Deputies did not observed any signs of drug abuse at the home. The caller said Slagle, who resides at 245 Stephenson St., Lakeview, had stopped by her home that day, and she noticed that he appeared to be “a bit messed up” when he arrived.
Deputies spoke with Slagle at the hospital, and he said this was the fourth time he was received a 30-day form for seeking substance abuse treatment.
A report also has been forwarded to the Logan County Prosecutor’s Office.
