Zackery D. Long, 25, of 6557 Fruit St., Huntsville, was charged with using weapons under disability, inducing panic and disorderly conduct related to an incident Saturday morning.
Deputies responded to his address about 6:20 a.m. after dispatchers received a 911 call requesting a well-being check for Long. The caller said he had a long rifle and was walking around his backyard.
Deputies arrived and upon entering the residence and speaking with Long’s father, the long rifle was located propped up in a hallway. After a searching outdoors and inside for Long, deputies eventually located him hiding in a utility closet.
While speaking with the defendant, deputies observed signs of intoxication. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Logan County Jail. Deputies confirmed that the defendant had warrants out of Union County.
