Dylan Kossel, 23, of Bellefontaine, was charged with a felony count of burglary related to an incident in Russells Point Monday evening, where he allegedly caused extensive damage to an apartment at 400 Lincoln Blvd.
KOSSEL |
Officers of the Russells Point Police Department responded to the area about 10:15 p.m. in reference to a domestic dispute.
The caller stated two people were screaming at each other and the male was being very violent.
When officers arrived, they found Kossel pacing around the apartment complex throwing his hands up and yelling incoherently. They also noticed his shirt, arms and hands were covered in blood.
An Indian Lake squad was called to treat Kossel while officers continued to investigate.
Officers learned the defendant had been removed from the property earlier in the day by an officer on first shift because of a separate domestic dispute with Amber Emerick, 24, who resides at the complex.
Kossel reportedly returned to the property that evening, and allegedly kicked in the back door and began ransacking the apartment. Officers noted busted shelves and glass, as well as household items thrown about the living room.
The defendant was treated and released from Mary Rutan Hospital and then placed under arrest. He was transported to the Logan County Jail.
