Jack L. Richardson, 33, of 114 Main St., Quincy, was charged with domestic violence following an incident at his address Thursday evening.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to his residence about 9:45 p.m. on a report of a domestic dispute.
His live-in girlfriend, Megan N. Simpson, 27, reported that she came home from work that day and said Mr. Richardson was acting erratically. They reportedly got into an argument, and he allegedly broke food bowls at the home and then followed her to various rooms in the residence.
She eventually was able to leave the residence and contact deputies.
Deputies noted that Ms. Simpson’s shirt was torn and that she had a scratch on her chest. A door frame also had been broken at the home.
Deputies observed that the defendant was only semi-responsive and appeared to be under the influence of some substance. He was transported by Quincy EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital and was issued the summons.
