Aaron S. Norris, 24, of 123 E. Brown Ave., Bellefontaine, was issued a summons for theft following an incident at his workplace, Dominos Pizza, 509 S. Main St., Bellefontaine.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department responded to the business about 8:40 p.m. Wednesday on the theft complaint.
They met with the manager, who stated that April 8, Mr. Norris was given $15 in cash for delivery orders that day. He did not make any delivery orders, but instead cashed out a customer and put the customer’s payment underneath the register and made change from his pocket, according to video surveillance.
Then a short time later, the video surveillance reportedly showed him taking money from underneath the register.
When questioned by officers, the defendant admitted to taking approximately $20 for gas money, and he apologized for his actions. He was issued the summons.
Man lodged for public intoxication

Wesley Bickle, 53, of 3797 Harrison Road, Bellefontaine, was charged with public intoxication following an incident Thursday afternoon.
Officers responded about 3:40 p.m. to a report of an intoxicated man who stumbled into traffic on west Sandusky Avenue near north Main Street and was nearly struck by passing cars.
Officers located Mr. Bickle in the area and observed an odor of alcohol coming from his person. He told officers he had walked to the bank and did not have a ride home.
During a search of his person, officers recovered a bottle of liquor in his shirt pocket. He was transported to the Logan County Jail.
Defendant arrested for parole violation

Jason Brandon, 31, of Springfield, was issued a parole violation Thursday afternoon after he was observed driving a vehicle in the area of Gunntown Road and Wal-Mart Supercenter.
Officers stopped and spoke with Mr. Brandon in the Wal-Mart parking lot, and he admitted to violating his parole officer’s order to stay out of Logan County because of his drug arrest history. He was transported to the Logan County Jail, and also was issued citations for no operator’s license, driving under non-compliance suspension and driving under a license forfeiture suspension.
