Jeremy S. Johnson, 36, address at large, was charged with domestic violence, disorderly conduct, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana following an incident Sunday evening.
Deputies responded to the Marathon Gas Station, 12500 N. State Route 235, Lakeview, at 6:46 p.m. in reference to a domestic dispute.
Mr. Johnson was located walking along S.R. 235, and according to deputies, he appeared to be intoxicated.
Deputies escorted him back to the gas station, where they met with Kelly Collins, 36. She reported that the two argued and that Mr. Johnson struck her in the face with an open can of beer.
Deputies did not note any injury to Ms. Collins, but did report that the side of her hair was wet.
Mr. Johnson denied striking Ms. Collins. During a search of his person, deputies located a partially smoked marijuana cigarette in a small case inside his coat. He was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
Bar patron lodged
Christopher M. Rollins, 34, of Urbana, was charged with persistent disorderly conduct following an incident early Saturday morning at Desperados Bar, 6857 Lima St., Huntsville.
Deputies responded at 12:26 a.m. to the bar in reference to several patrons who were refusing to leave.
Deputies arrived and assisted employees in removing several subjects. One subject, Mr. Rollins, became loud and argumentative, and he reportedly attempted to return to the bar.
He was placed under arrest, and while en route to the jail, the defendant apologized to deputies and explained that he drank too much.
