Keith E. Parker, 44, of Bellefontaine, was charged Wednesday with possession of cocaine after a 5:05 p.m. stop on Detroit Street near Powell Avenue.
Officers were investigating alleged drug activity in the area and stopped Parker after he walked away from a doorway where he been standing for a short period of time holding the storm door open. When asked about an abnormal bulge in his right sock, he claimed it was money before admitting it was drugs. A plastic bag containing two rocks of crack cocaine was removed from his sock.
He was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
• Calvin L. Board, 30, of Bellefontaine, was charged with having an open container of alcohol after he was observed at 12:30 a.m. Thursday walking with a bottle of beer on Garfield Avenue near West Street.
• Kareem D. Williams, 29, at large, was served Thursday with a warrant for failure to appear.
