Lloyd A. Reed, 56, of Bellefontaine, passed away Monday, May 9, 2016, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born June 28, 1959, in Urbana, a son of Nelson and Elva Reed Karns.
He was preceded in death by his father, Nelson Karns; grandparents Everett and Mable Reed; and son, U.S. Army Spc. Joshua Reed, in August 2012.
Survivors include his sons, Nicholas (Courtnie) Thompson, Justin and Dustin Rogan and Tristan Reed; sisters, Mable Reeb, Polly (Jeff Sells) Huffman, Penny (Howard) Miller and Karen Byrd; brothers, Everett (Anita) Huffman and Robert (Margaret) Huffman; grandchildren, Avery Allen, Saige Thompson, Dustin Rogan Jr. and Jayden Rogan; special uncle, Larry Reed; special nephews, Cooper Reed Merriman and Garrett Miller; special friends, Newt Oliver Sr., Newt Oliver Jr. and “Big Dave”; 17 nieces and nephews; 20 great- nieces and nephews; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Lloyd was retired from construction.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 12, at Jennings Farley Funeral Home & Crematory, West Liberty, where Pastor John James officiates a funeral at 10:30 a.m. Friday. Burial follows in Highland Memorial Cemetery, West Liberty.
