Lena Ellen Tomlin Organ, 90, of North Lewisburg, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018, in Memorial Gables in Marysville.
Lena was born Sept. 9, 1927, in Kent, a daughter of Stella Marie Millington and John Leroy Tomlin. She retired from Bellefontaine High School as a cook and was a member of Middleburg United Methodist Church. Lena enjoyed playing cards and bingo, but most of all she loved being with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Lena is survived by her children, Patricia (James) Craig and James Dale Organ; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; her brothers, Charles (Doris) Tomlin and Paul (Patty) Tomlin; and several nieces and nephews. Lena was preceded in death by her husband, George Ellsworth Organ; a son, George Robert Organ; her sisters, Virginia Davis and Phyllis Clark; and a brother, John Tomlin.
Funeral services begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, in the Middleburg United Methodist Church, 11824 State Route 287, Middleburg, where calling begins at 11 a.m. The Rev. Rick Riggs officiates and burial follows in Maple Grove Cemetery, North Lewisburg.
