Larry Jon Quiram, 60, of Bellefontaine, passed away July 7, 2016, in a tragic auto accident in Champaign County.
Larry was born Nov. 8, 1955. He grew up in Streator, Ill. He graduated from high school in 1973 and continued his education at Illinois State University receiving his master’s degree in history.
He worked for many companies including Whirlpool, GM, Ford, Mitsubishi and most recently with Honda of America Mfg. at Anna as a production associate.
Larry had a passion for history his entire life. He enjoyed educating others about history and was active in studies about Theodore Roosevelt. He was also an enthusiast of reading, trivia and the advancement of education.
Larry was a proper gentleman and would always go out of his way to help someone in need. He lived by the quote of Theodore Roosevelt, “Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.”
Larry is survived by his soul mate, Anita Morris, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Virginia Prendergast Quiram.
Visitation is from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 30, at Vernon Funeral Home, Urbana. Burial is at 1 p.m. Sunday, July 31, in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, 914 W. Main St., Streator, Ill.
