Larry C. Jolliff, 76, of Bellefontaine, died peacefully Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Campbell Place of Bellefontaine.
Larry was born in East Liberty on May 15, 1940, to the late Charles M. and Elsie Emma Gantt Jolliff.
He is survived by his brother, Darrell (Donna) Jolliff, and niece, Diane (Chris) Jolliff Connell, of Midlothian, Va.; two nephews, David Lytle Jolliff of Columbus and Danien (Lori) Jolliff of Brandon, Fla.; a great-nephew, Christopher (fiance Holly) Connell of Columbus; and great-niece, Katherine Emma Connell of Charlottesville, Va.
Larry graduated from Perry-Zane High School in 1958. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1962-1966, obtaining educational courses at Sheppard AFB in Texas and was honorably discharged at McGuire AFB, N.J.
Larry managed the two L-K Restaurants in Bellefontaine and later the Red Lantern. He then pursued a different type of work, test driving at TRC in East Liberty. He progressed to the government part of the TRC and retired in 2009 with the title of Engineering Technician/Performance Driver at VRTC of the TRC. Larry loved his work and missed his work and coworkers when he retired.
Larry enjoyed time with family and friends and especially enjoyed sharing with friends on Facebook. He will be missed by his family and his many dear friends.
Calling is from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, April 14, at Wilson Funeral Home, Schnurrenberger Chapel, 222 W. Center St., West Mansfield, followed by graveside services at 2:30 p.m. in the East Liberty Cemetery. Mike Roberts officiates. Memorial contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice and the Mary Rutan Foundation in care of the funeral home.
