Indian Lake fell down early, but came storming back to beat host Benjamin Logan 3-1 in a Logan County girls soccer clash Monday at Ben Logan.
The Lakers are now 3-4-0 overall and 2-2-0 in the Central Buckeye Conference. Ben Logan drops to 2-5-2, 0-3-1.
Indian Lake scored three unanswered goals after the Raiders took a 1-0 lead.
Macie Robinson scored on a penalty kick for the Lakers and Raelyn Parsell and Ashlyn Shaner each added goals.
Izzy Henderson scored the Raiders’ lone goal off an assist by Rhea Harner. Allie Henault had six saves in goal for the Raiders.
Both teams are back in action Wednesday. The Lakers host Jonathan Alder and the Raiders travel to Kenton Ridge.
Chiefs clipped by Pioneers
Bellefontaine’s girls soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision at Jonathan Alder in Central Buckeye Conference action Monday night.
The Pioneers stay unbeaten at 10-0 overall and 4-0 in the league, while the Chiefs drop to 1-5-1 overall and 0-3-0 in the league.
“Our athletes played some of their best soccer this season, holding a strong Jonathan Alder team scoreless in the second half,” said BHS coach Kate Smith. “They played with a physicality and aggressiveness that they hope to maintain throughout a tough week.”
The Chiefs are back in action Thursday against Wapakoneta.
