Indian Lake’s boys basketball team saw its offense heat up early against visiting Bethel on Tuesday and rolled to an 80-67 non-league win.
The Lakers bump their record to 2-5 on the season as the Bees fall to 3-7.
Indian Lake outscored Bethel in the first quarter 20-15. The Lakers used a 19-10 run in the second quarter to stretch their lead to 39-25 halftime cushion.
Bethel was able to outscore Indian Lake 20-15 in the third quarter, but still trailed 54-45. The Lakers wrapped up the win in the fourth quarter with a 26-22 effort.
Zander Barnes sparked the Lakers on offense with 22 points, Luke Jackson tallied 21 points, Caleb Wurster had 11 points, while Caiden Nicol and Camdon Tuttle each had 10 points.
In junior varsity action, Indian Lake topped Bethel 56-38. Dawson Finfrock led the Lakers with 16 points and Maddux Hall had 15 points.
Indian Lake is back on the court Saturday at home against Urbana in a Central Buckeye Conference makeup game.
