Indian Lake’s Beau Hefner was the top scorer in the Central Buckeye Conference Mad River division and was rewarded for his performance in the recently released all-league honors.
A senior, Hefner was named the CBC Mad River division co-player of the year along with Urbana’s Jordan Underwood. Hefner averaged 17.2 points per game, which was the best in the Mad River division.
A total of five area players earned first-team honors. That group included Indian Lake’s Hefner and Alex Jacobs and Benjamin Logan’s Grant Ricketts in the Mad River division.
Bellefontaine had two first-team selections in the Kenton Trail division with Jacob Rogan and Hayden Nease.
Earning special mention in the Mad River division were the Raiders’ Konner Caudill and the Lakers’ Collin Coburn, while the Chiefs’ Dawsin Tillman was named special mention in the Kenton Trail.

Taking home the sportsmanship award were the Raiders’ Spencer Bycynski, the Lakers’ Parker Grothaus and the Chiefs’ Isaiah Miller.
Tecumseh won the CBC Kenton Trail championship with a 9-1 record. The Arrows’ Darius Quisenberry and Springfield Shawnee’s Seth Gray were named Kenton Trail co-players of the year.
Urbana claimed the CBC Mad River championship with a 9-1 record.
The rest of the Mad River first-team consisted of Urbana’s Underwood, Cameron Logwood and Levi Boettcher, Northwestern’s Kurt Waters and Ryan Cleland, Graham’s Andrew Ford and Greenon’s Austin Swope.
Filling out the rest of the Mad River special mention picks were Graham’s Conner Wiley, Greenon’s Tim Blase, Northwestern’s Ellis Ulery and Urbana’s Najhea Honore.
Making up the rest of the Kenton Trail first-team squad were Tecumseh’s Darius Quisenberry and Malik Quisenberry, Tippecanoe’s Jakob Prall and Carter Mann, Springfield Shawnee’s Seth Gray and Nathan Bostick, Kenton Ridge’s Jordan Bailey and Stebbins’ Michael Schuster.
Rounding out the special mention list were Kenton Ridge’s Caleb King, Springfield Shawnee’s David Barnett, Stebbins’ Michael Pickel, Tecumseh’s Rylan Magsaysay and Tippecanoe’s Nathan Shirley.
