Bellefontaine’s girls track and field team defeated Delaware Hayes in a dual meet Wednesday.
The Chiefs had 81 points and Hayes tallied 51 points. Leading Bellefontaine with wins were Kelsie Snapp in the shot put (35-0), Alexis Robinson in the discus (117-11), Kylie Adams in the long jump (16-8.5), Parker Penhorwood in the pole vault (8-0), the 3,200 relay team of Kailyn Newman, Kayleigh Flora, Brianne Sechrest and Grace Brown (11:10.53), the 800 relay team oaf Elyncia Allen, Carisse Comstock, Parker Penhorwood and Jillian Ullom (1:59.57), the 400 relay of Adams, Callie Shumaker, Ava Reeves and Parker Penhorwood (51.35), Reeves in the 100 (12.80) and 200 (26.85), Grace Brown in the 1,600 (5:35), Brianne Sechrest in the 3,200 (13:32) and Shumaker in the 100 hurdles (16.59) and 300 hurdles (49.90).
Taking second for the BHS girls were Robinson in the shot put (35-5.5), Reeves in the long jump (15-10.5), Newman in the 800 (2:35.84), Adams in the 100 hurdles (16.69) and Jillian Ullom in the 300 hurdles (56.12). Adding third-place finishes were Perri Neeld in the shot put (32-1) and the discus (99-10) and Shumaker in the high jump (4-04).
Delaware Hayes won the boys meet with 81.75 points. Bellefontaine had 55.25 points. Earning wins for the Chiefs were Haiden Manns in the shot put (51-0) and discus (147-3), the 3,200 relay team of Oliver Grandstaff, Zavier May, Ollie Moreland and Wes Dunn (10:06.69), the 1,600 relay team of Grandstaff, Dunn, May and Alex Crabill (3:42.89), the 800 relay of Harper Scott, Kaiden Foulk, Caiden Snapp and Jacob Henry (1:35.91), the 400 relay team of Scott, Foulk, Snapp and Henry (46.76) and Hayden Maus in the 1,600 (4:45) and 3,200 (10:14).
Taking second for BHS were Snapp in the 100 (11.62) and the 200 (24.42) and Brandon Wong in the 100 hurdles (19.39).
Adding third-place finishes were Anthony Stamm in the shot put (39-06), Jake Moreland in the 1,600 (4:51) and 3,200 (10:40) and Henry in the 300 hurdles (48.53).
