The Chiefs drop to 4-5 overall and 2-3 in the CBC, while the Knights improve to 3-6, 3-3.
“We struggled defensively and could not overcome five errors that led to five runs for them,” said Bellefontaine head coach Katie Buffkin. “We hit well at times, but were unable string hits together to get runners in.”
Greenon took a 1-0 lead in the second inning and pushed its advantage to 3-0 in the third inning with a pair of runs.
The Knights added a run in the fourth and another in the fifth. Bellefontaine’s lone run came in the seventh.
