Bellefontaine fought off a late Greenon rally to take an 8-6 victory Friday in a Central Buckeye Conference baseball game at Blue Jacket Park.

The Chiefs are now 9-2 overall and 5-1 in the league, while Greenon drops to 5-6 ,1-5.
Each team scored twice in the third inning and then Bellefontaine followed with four runs in the fourth to lead 6-2.
The Knights struck back with three runs in the top of the fifth to pull within one at 6-5.
Bellefontaine answered with two runs in the bottom of the fifth to build an 8-5 advantage.
Greenon tacked on a run in the top of the seventh, but the Chiefs were able to hold on for the win.
