Jerry L. Predmore crossed over to be with the Lord in the comfort of his home on Sept. 30, 2016. Jerry was born April 23, 1954, to the late Lowell and Martha Snapp Predmore.
He spent the better part of his childhood learning the ways of the world from his late grandparents, Earl and Bertha Snapp.
On Jan. 26, 1974, he married his soul mate, Vicki McKinnon Predmore. They have three daughters, Cassi (Wayne) Gibson of Lima, Billi (John) Peoples of Roundhead and Michelle (Mark Thomas) Mathison of Bellefontaine. He was blessed with six grandchildren, Kameron Mathison, Peyton Gibson, Hunter Gibson, Carter Peoples, Reaghan Gibson and Makyna Peoples.
Jerry is also survived by an aunt, Marilyn Snapp of Lakeview; three uncles, Louis Predmore, Jerry Predmore and Gerald Predmore; three sisters; nine nephews; and six nieces.
He also was preceded in death by three brothers.
He worked at Henschen in Jackson Center for 20 years, then started a small engine repair shop that he operated for 12 years. He then spent six years working for Indian Lake Lawn Care.
He was a member of the Doyle R. Miller AMVETS Post 39 and Indian Lake Eagles Aerie 3615, both of Lakeview. His pride and joy were his family. Spending time with them and great friends doing cookouts, rooting on the Bengals, throwing cornhole, camping and riding four wheelers. He also enjoyed playing cards with his longtime friends Mike and Pat Kindle.
Jerry graduated from Indian Lake with the Class of 1972, which was a class that dared to be different.
As to his wishes, the family will have a Celebration of Life at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, at the home — filled with lots of laughs, memories, and, of course, some cornhole.
Arrangements are in the care of Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview. Condolences may be expressed at shoffstallfuneralhome.com.
