Janet V. (Hoge) Burke passed away Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021.
She was born Nov. 26, 1940, at home in Rushsylvania to Lafayette and Mildred (France) Hoge. Janet was a 1958 Huntsville High School graduate.
She was preceded in death by her parents, who later lived in Bellefontaine; along with her brothers, James E. Hoge, deceased at 1 year, Frank Hoge during the Vietnam War, and Robert France of Naples, Fla
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Teri (Burke) Snavely and Scott Snavely of Strongsville and Gregg Burke of St. Mary’s; her siblings and spouses, Roland and Carol Hoge of Bellefontaine, Charles Hoge of Belle Center, Betty Louise (Hoge) and Bob Baughman of Bellefontaine, M. Eileen (Hoge) Young of Ogden, Utah; Jerry and Sharon Hoge of Bellefontaine and Phyllis (Hoge) and Jim Cosby of Springfield; her grandchildren, Taylor Snavely, Justin Snavely and Sarah (Snavely) and Justin McMahon of Mansfield, Brittany Fiig of Ohio; along with 12 nieces, 10 nephews, 16 great-nieces, 21 great-nephews and many great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, at the Lima Community Church of the Nazarene in Lima. All who knew and loved Janet are welcome.
