The beloved Roald Dahl children’s book James and the Giant Peach provides a comical and thought-provoking script for the James and the Giant Peach musical, which is presented by West Liberty-Salem Schools at 7 p.m. Friday, March 22, and at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, March 23, at the school cafetorium.

The storyline follows title character James Trotter, played by Savannah Weaver, who is sent by his conniving Aunt Spiker, played by Addy Johnson, and Aunt Sponge, played by Anna Louden, to chop down their old fruit tree. James discovers a magic potion that results in an ever-expanding peach and launches a journey of enormous proportions.
