James “Allen” Heater, 48, of Rushsylvania, took his last haul on the highway to Heaven at 3:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016, at the Kobacker House, Columbus.
He was born in Dayton on April 21, 1967, to James Franklin and Patricia Sue Calvert Heater, who survive.
On June 20, 2005, he married the former Kathy Wilburn, whom he loved dearly, and she survives, along with Allen’s two sons, Josh and Aaron Heater, whom he loved with all his heart; a sister, Mary Heater, whom he loved to pick on; three nieces and nephews; and five great-nieces and great-nephews.
A 1985 graduate of Benjamin Logan High School, where he loved being in the band, Allen was a member of Goshen Friends Church in Zanesfield and a truck driver for Circle S Trucking in Marysville.
He loved antique International Harvester tractors and said “If it ain’t red it stays in the shed!” He loved life and had a hearty laugh that could be heard from far away. He loved trucking since he was 18 and called himself an “asphalt farmer.”
’Til we meet again, Defroster, over and out. 10-4; catch you later, good buddy.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, Bellefontaine, where Pastor Wayne Downing officiates a funeral at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17. Burial is in Fairview Cemetery, West Liberty.
Memorial contributions may be made to Goshen Friends Church, 5527 County Road 153, Zanesfield OH 43360.
