J. Larry Norton, 79, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2022, at Lima Memorial Health System.
Larry was born in Bellefontaine on March 9, 1943. He was the tenth of fourteen children born to Ray C. and Cleo N. (Hoge) Norton, who preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by four sisters and five brothers.
On August 6, 1960, he married Rosemarie (McGoldrick) and she survives. He is also survived by his five daughters: Alesa Norton, Kaprice (Allen) Anderson, Janet Norton, Victoria (Matthew) Kemper, and Elizabeth (Roland) Richardson; 17 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Larry was a tool and die maker by trade and a small business owner. He owned and operated the Nu-Acme Heating and Plumbing and the Norton Broach Grinding companies.
Larry was devoted to his family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought great joy to his life. He was always eager to discuss his stock trading strategies or the health benefits of colloidal silver with anyone who would listen.
Dad, Grandpa, we love you and will miss you so much. You left us too early. Rest in Peace. We’ll see you again.
Friends may call on Friday, November 11, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Bellefontaine. Larry’s funeral will be held on Saturday, November 12, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Bellefontaine Cemetery.
