Brande L. Barger, 49, of 224 Ellis St., DeGraff, was transported by Riverside EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment of suspected minor injuries sustained in a crash Thursday evening.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report she was operating a southbound 2016 Buick Encore on County Road 24 near Pleasant Street in DeGraff about 6:30 p.m. when she failed to negotiate a curve and drove off the right side of the road, striking a tree before coming to a final rest.
Damage was heavy to the vehicle, which was towed from the scene. Barger was wearing her seat belt, and was cited for failure to control.
• Miranda J. Varney, age unavailable, of West Mansfield, was transported to Tri-Valley EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment of suspected minor injuries sustained in a crash about 8:20 p.m. Friday.
Deputies report she was operating a northbound 2004 Mercury Mountaineer on County Road 5 when she traveled off the left side of the road, striking a ditch. Her vehicle overturned, striking an embankment and coming to a final rest.
Damage was heavy to the sport utility vehicle. Varney was wearing her seat belt and was cited for failure to control.
• No injuries were reported in a crash involving a jeep and a semi-tractor hauling a flatbed trailer just before noon on Saturday on County Road 153.
Deputies report William V. Elliott, 18, of DeGraff, was operating a jeep and struck the rear of the semi, which had stopped in front of him attempting to turn onto County Road 28. The semi was operated by Robert J. Gangle, 33, of Pataskala.
The drivers were wearing their seat belts. Elliott was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
Damage was heavy to the jeep, which was towed from the scene. The semi sustained light damage.
