A valuable contributor to the Indian Lake baseball team over the past few seasons, Nick Silvis has earned the opportunity to continue his career at the college level.

Silvis recently accepted an offer to play at Wilmington College, an NCAA Division III program in southwest Ohio.
An infielder, Silvis is a two-time Central Buckeye Conference Mad River division first-team selection.
As a junior, Silvis batted .347 with four doubles and 14 RBI.
This spring, he hit .351 with four doubles and a team-high 25 RBI.
Indian Lake coach Ryan Lillard is confident Silvis will do well, on and off the field, at Wilmington.
“Past his baseball skills, I think he’s going to be very successful in life just because of his work ethic, his intelligence and how he treats other people,” said Lillard. “I’ve seen the growth and maturity in him over the past four years and I’m really appreciative that he was part of our program.”
While he is looking forward to the next step in his academic and baseball careers, Silvis will not forget his time at Indian Lake.
“I enjoyed the coaches here,” he said. “They really helped me progress in my baseball skills. And the players that I played with these last four years are unforgettable. I’ve really built some good friendships here.”
Silvis said he plans to study sports management while a student at Wilmington.
