The Indian Lake Board of Education welcomed a brand new board member, elected officers and set their schedule for the year during their Wednesday evening organizational meeting.
Treasurer Coleen Reprogle administered the oath of office to newly-elected member Shannon Reese. She is a 2006 graduate of Indian Lake High School and works locally for the Small Nation entrepreneur group.
Gabe Wickline was unanimously voted board president for the sixth year in a row. Chad Ross was chosen to serve as vice president for the fifth year. Reprogle also administered the oath of office to them.
The board considered and passed several annual housekeeping items to begin the new year and set committee assignments.
Members scheduled the meeting dates for the coming year, with most meetings to be conducted on the third Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the Indian Lake Board Office.
The January meeting will be conducted on Tuesday, Jan. 18, in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and the February meeting will be Tuesday, Feb. 22, because of Presidents’ Day.
The August meeting will be Monday, Aug. 15, at 5 p.m. to allow the public to attend the meeting during Open House Night.
