The annual First Friday’s Hometown Christmas Parade has teamed up with Bellefontaine Grace Church to put on an event to remember Friday, Dec. 2.
The evening begins at 4 p.m. with iceless ice-skating, a walk-through Christmas village, a petting zoo, and a wagon ride sharing the Christmas story, all in downtown Bellefontaine.
All these activities (and more) are free thanks to the generosity of Bellefontaine Grace Church and sponsorships from many local businesses.
This year, look forward to food trucks around town, traveling carolers and tours of the beautifully-decorated downtown churches.
Then be sure to find your spot and settle in for the Hometown Christmas parade, starting at 6 p.m., presented by Citizens Federal Savings and Loan.
All other activities will resume after the parade, so you will have plenty of time to enjoy downtown Bellefontaine’s City Christmas.
Friday, several streets in the downtown area will be closing in preparation for the evening’s activities.
North Main Street from Columbus Avenue to Watson Way will close at 10 a.m., as well as Court Avenue and Opera Street.
The remaining streets and alleys inside of the Madriver/Detroit bypass will close at 1 p.m.
